The LeQuire Invitational 2005
The LeQuire Invitational will be an annual show featuring a different guest curator every year. This year, Alan has chosen Greg Decker, Art and Antiques 2002 Emerging Artist, to be guest curator.
While living in New York for twelve years, Greg taught at the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. An avid admirer of traditional painting and art history, he also takes inspiration from poetry and classical music. In Nashville, he exhibits at LeQuire Gallery and The Arts Company, and he is beginning his own series of workshops in traditional drawing and painting.
With his highly developed background in art, Greg is the perfect candidate to choose work for our first invitational. Showing in this year’s invitational along with Alan LeQuire and Greg Decker will be Marleen De Waele – De Bock, Seth Conley, Dan Hall, Trevor Mikula, Rebecca Ruegger, Brenda Stein, Tom Turnbull, Ashley Wiltshire and John Reed.
